In August 2001 I officially started
to publish my designs under the name Beardie Designs.
There are 2 main categories, one
being the Dutch Sampler Series, the other one being Accessories.
For the Dutch samplers I research
what kind of motif and/or color is representative for a particular area or town
in the Netherlands.
For the accessories I still use
sampler motifs, but the emphasis is on making items you can use for your
stitching. Therefore finishing instructions are always included with these
charts.
Also quite often I use overdyed threads and silk threads as they give your project a special touch. Bird, Bees & Flowers |
